Green ‘site’-seeing; Walking tour

A walking tour revealing AHMM's sustainability principles in action through exploration of very different new-build and re-use projects. Starting in historic Clerkenwell, within a conservation area with a client who has been on the site for over 400 years, the walk will end at Old Street roundabout AKA Tech City ­ taking in differing building typologies along with way including mixed-use, commercial, residential and cultural.

The tour will demonstrate hands-on AHMM's approach to finding the most flexible and adaptable sustainability solutions that take into account potential future uses and future climate challenges. As well as environmental innovation, the walk will highlight examples of the way the practice has tackled economic and social sustainability challenges within these projects

Led by Dr Craig Robertson, AHMM's Head of Sustainability ­ the group will also meet each building¹s project architects along the way. The two mile walking tour will start at AHMM's offices at Morelands with coffee and a croissant and will include: The Barbican Centre, 1-5 Benjamin Street, The Bower, 20 Farringdon Road, Leonard Street, Morelands, and White Collar Factory. There will be access to some buildings ­ others will be external viewings. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
